The jewel in the crown of the TBlack website is the Design Your Own customiser. The TBlack client-base are both discerning and wealthy, so an elegant solution was needed to deliver the most reliable and user friendly way to customise a high-end luxury timepiece.
KOMOKO worked closely alongside Luke Waite, the TBlack CEO, and the rest of the TBlack team to clearly identify user journeys and expectations when it came to the behaviour of their key customers. The resulting watch customiser manages to preserve the photo-realistic look of the watches whilst allowing all features to be customised — including custom engraving text and the now legendary DLC coating. You can literally "paint it black".
Since 2011 we have worked as TBlack's main digital partner providing and maintaining all website services via recommended hosting partner Acquia through which we manage all workflow and deployment. In that time we have watched as TBlack (formerly known as Titan Black) has leapt from strength to strength. They now have a permanent US division and the London HQ occupies all 4 floors of an elegant W1 town house just a few yards away from Selfridge's!
Essential to this giddy and enduring success has been a strong and reliable digital platform on which to grow the business. The core backbone of the website is based on Drupal 7. There have been architectural tweaks and design changes over the lifetime of the websites — however much of the underlying structure has been in place since the website first launched. This represents an exceptionally future-proof solution which has proved extremely cost effective for TBlack and assisted them in growing the business.
In 2016 the entire website theme with a brand new custom responsive framework based on Zurb Foundation 6 — a leading front-end frameworks. Other innovations have an interactive map listing all boutiques and partners and the feature landing page for the Chronolight.
We look forward to another decade of partnership!
